Can You Name 30 Countries ?

Hi there, and welcome back to my blog, The Water's Fine. I started this blog over 11 years ago as a college student gearing up to intern abroad in Madrid. It went dormant for a number of years, but I am back to share my journey of visiting 30 countries by the time I turned 30! I accomplished my goal, touching down in Lisbon, Portugal on March 18, 2022. Technically I missed my deadline by 8 days, but with a global pandemic health crisis, I figured some leeway was allowed. 

In the coming weeks and months I plan to share my adventures and some misadventures along this journey as well as the lessons I've gleaned from from meeting people all over the world. I'll also share some tips and tricks I've learned about traveling and all the things that can go wrong! 

The first five countries on my list are below, listed in chronological order of when I visited:

1. India

2. United States

3. Canada

4. United Kingdom

5. Mexico

These are the five countries I lived in or visited in the first 15 years of my life with my family.

Leaping off the high board

Welcome to the first day of the next chapter of my life. The previous chapter that I have finally closed is the one during which I identified myself as a college student and then as a post graduate with a college student mentality! In that time I have moved back to my hometown (Mechanicsburg, PA) and had the wonderful opportunity of interning at The JDK Group. Madrid!!!!!

So after a long 7 1/2 hour flight from Washington DC I finally made it to Madrid!! But when I got there the airlines had misplaced one of my bags! So I placed a claim with the airport people and hopefully my bag will show up within a day or two. We finally got to our apartment after a couple of hours because one of the flights was delayed. But the apartment is so nice!! More on it later!
